No date yet...

Please pray that we will be issued an appointment date tomorrow! The country just started issuing dates for this year since their holiday close down. Three families of our group got appointments today and they are hoping the other families will get ones tomorrow. Please pray we do. Although this adoption has been very quick in some ways, it's been brutal on our emotions. We really want to get started on this part of the process, we've had our paperwork done since January & now it's been a full two months of waiting....hard on us but even harder on the children. They need their family.

So please pray for this for us! Thank you!!!!!

  1. YVONNE, I love reading your blogs on your life. Thank you for sharing with me. I understand a little better about the problems Sams faces. I am praying that Dr.A will be able to help the girls too. I wonder if maybe that problem was part of the reason for my eye problem in my left eye. By the time I was 13 I had almost no sight in that eye, but it never had clouds on it. maybe I carried the denes and passed them on to you all. ny left eye is even somewhat smaller than the right, and I have only a small amount of sight in it. I can see a lightt thru adoor or window, make out shapes in a lighted room. what do you think?

    1. That is interesting. I'd say we certainly both have a lazy eye and smaller than normal eyes. When we first took sam to the eye doctor in Miami they checked me out for any sign of PA since my eyes are smaller than normal also. they actually measured my eyes, but found no other aabnormalities associated with PA. they also checked Steve in depth to make sure his eyes were ok ( He was almost 9 but they were worried about glaucoma and things like that)

I guess their idea now is no family invovlment, Jon and I also had a blodd draw to check our DNA for research purposes and neither of us carried the knowns gene for PA, nor does Sam...which leads them to believe there is another gene since Sam definelty has PA! He is our little medical mystery:)
