Good report! Friends are Friends Forever.....

Selah is finally doing better.  I ask for her to go on an IV antibiotic, she did and after two dosages she is beginning to show improvement.  Last night I was so discouraged and worried about her.  We got back home about 11:30 pm and I worried about her all night.  I called early this morning and talked to the nurse and just told her I felt Selah was getting worse.  She also has a bump on her face that looks odd, like I'm worried about MRSA or something bad.  I asked her to talk with the doctor and tell him I felt she needed an antibiotic.  She did and he agreed.  She is already showing great improvement!  When I got over there this afternoon, I could tell she was feeling better.  Her heart rate was going down, by the time I left at 9 pm, she was down to the low 100's, much better than last night in the 120's !  The spot on her face still is growing but is being treated so they can't swab it to see what is going on with her.  It looks bad.  We are going to address that tomorrow.  But I feel so much better about things tonight.

Last night one of my BFFs from my college days and her family stopped by to viist.  Meichelle was visiting family in north Florida and took yesterday and today to come see us!  We went over together so she could meet and love on Selah yesterday.  Today we all went out to eat and then to Hillsborough River State Park, one of the most beautiful places around.  We saw LOTS of gators:) which was their goal LOL!  Got to love those folks from out West:) Then as we were all leaving, we got caught in a planned burn, that turned into an unplanned mess!  So we had to drive through some real fire!  It was fun LOL   I LOVED her kids and all the kids just hit it off with each other.  Meiche and I have not seen each other in OVER 20 years!  But we have stayed close by phone and now by FB/Internet.  She was one of my most staunchest supporters of our adoption and has been "by my side" since the accident....  I can not tell you how much the past 24 hours have meant to me!  I just want her back!!!!  We have decided NOT to let 20 more years go by (or by then we'll be almost 70!!!)    What a treat to see my friend!  And I can tell you that it was like we'd seen each other yesterday...not in 1990!   Now that is a REAL friend!!!!!!  Oh and we were both told by our snotty teens that we were acting like kids!  I said we were STILL kids and all these extra kids are just figments of our imagination lol!

We took a ton of pictures but this is my fav

Selah resting with her sweet Ms Lynn there!
Thank you for praying for Selah, please continue to do so!

Tomorrow I will pick up with my Ukraine story but I'm tired and need to go to bed:)

I'm also rejoicing.....
Because
there are TWO less orphans in the world tonight...
Two little girls left the orphanage with their family today
One of those little girls used to be in Sarah's room.  She sat on her cot and cried when I dressed Sarah and walked out with her.  I could not bear it.  I had to push the whole thing out of my mind.  She understood what was happening.  She was being left behind BUT GOD....rescued her and another little one today!  He did it through a wonderful family!  I have a thankful heart!
