It certainly has affected her tummy, several huge diaper changes! I'm learning how to "roll" her and clean her up easier. I'm sure Selah appreciates what I'm learning from the nurses:)
I interviewed a nice lady for night nursing yesterday and she is starting tonight. I think it will be a good fit. I'm glad that she can start tonight, since Selah seems a bit unstable. We had wanted to get someone for a few nights a week, but really realized that we had to have someone in while I'm gone to NY with Sam. So I'm glad this all seems to have worked out so well.
Sam still seems ok, he keeps his eye shut most of the time but doesn't seem to be in pain. We check it when we put in the eye drops. He was already on preventive eye drops so nothing has changed there.
So please keep my little ones in prayer. I really really hope we can avoid the hospital with Selah this weekend!!!!

Hope you enjoy these pictures, each one of them bring back such memories to me.
I guess I can tell you my dream....my dream would be living there, reaching out to the people, starting a church, starting an orphanage.
I wish I could just pour my life out there....
That may never happen but that is my dream, to be back in Ukraine...for good. We all have dreams, mine is different I'm sure....but that country calls out to me.
Hi Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about little Miss Selah.
Is there anything you could use to dilute the cipro safely? I've encountered similar problems (actually, with a dog's feeding tube....long story) and we were able to use pedialyte or saline to dilute the meds that we were using. (Can't recall which!) Since the meds were formulated to be okay with the digestive system; it was about the same as the other sorts of things you'd encounter in the digestive system. So the watering down didn't interfere with the body's absorption of it.
I just hope you don't end up back in the hospital! I know that's just plain inconvenient and uncomfortable for everyone involved.
I'm shocked on the other post's pic of Selah's legs during PT! Wow!! Look at that bend! That's really incredible!
I'm loving all your recaps and pictures!
The outdoor market pictures bring back so many memories.
I don't know how you resisted buying up the box-o-puppies! LOL (Actually, yes I do! I know what a mess it is trying to take animals from one continent to another!)
Best,
Mia C.
we tried to dilute it but there is no way for it to go through. thanks:)
ReplyDeleteI have an impossible dream to...I have wanted to be a foreign missionary since I was 11. We spent one year in Japan, and one in the Marshall Islands and would do it again in a heartbeat! But four children, way too much debt, and health issues make the dream impossible. But I still dream. And I remember that all things are possible with God. I think dreams are good. Mine inspires me to do certain things, such as send care packages to missionaries. And yours helps you advocate for orphans there. Keep dreaming! And may God bless you.
