Shad

this is the picture of Shad meeting Selah.

I was asked about Shad's adoption story and you can go to the post above for it. Or scroll down to the very first month I blogged for his sweet story

Morning update for Selah:

They are going up on her BP meds, they feel that it is just her brain responding to the injury and she may always have high blood pressure and need meds. Everything else is stable.

The morning has been rough for me. Hearing all the problems/issues that we face...feeling really really low right now. I can not express to you how hard it is to see our daughter like this. I'm used to kids being on wires/IVs etc...I mean Sam came home with a bunch of machines but I think the difference was knowing they would one day be gone. Knowing this is where she is without a miracle is very very hard.

So again I ask, PRAY for Selah!!!!

  2. I am praying for Selah but I am also praying for you Yvonne. I have no idea how you feel but as I read your words, I can feel your pain as a mom. I ask that the Lord gives you wisdom so that you can handle. My prayers are that God's perfect will to be done not only with Selah but for your whole family. I too wish everything could go back to the way it was but God has some bigger plans for you and Selah and we pray that he reveals this to you soon. Please continue to have to "me" time as it isn't selfish but it allows you some relief and also being able to talk with God. Know that my prayers are with you and I have come to love your family and am so proud of you for allowing all of us to be part of your family. God Bless!!

  5. Lord, I ask that you give Yvonne peace and comfort as she acts upon what you have already told her to do and draws strength from You by meditating upon your Holy Word. Praise to you Holy Name, Lord Jesus, Our great redeemer! We love You and thank You for your mercy and grace to all of us.

  6. May the Peace that passes ALL understanding surround you, encompass you, fill you and bring you to complete surrender before the Lord.
God Bless you! Those blessings are there, all around. You just don't know it yet. :)

  7. I'm praying much more than I'm writing, Yvonne! I pray many times/day. Still praying for a miracle for precious Selah, plus prayers for all of your family. My heart especially aches for you, as you try try to come to grips with all of Selah's issues. I can only imagine your pain...and I'm praying for your peace and comfort. God bless all of you. ♥♥

  8. Wanted to let you know I am still praying daily for your family and Selah. I am so glad you have not given up on a complete healing and refuse to see your daughter as "tubes and wires." I found this verse studying scripture the other day and wanted to share it with you: "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22). Have you read Derek Prince? His writings on faith and healing are directly from the Bible and were very helpful to me on understanding biblical faith and healing in a way I hadn't before. I am continuing to pray!

  9. Yvonne, I have not stopped praying for you since the accident. I haven't commented in the last week but that does NOT mean I have forgotten. I read your posts and they call me to pray even harder. I long with you that Selah will be wire free. Praying God's peace will continue to fill you as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
